Simple Weddings

My friend’s daughter has just started working at the hotel where I was married. It is under new management and has had a complete modernisation, it was quite a transformation from old country house hotel with antique furniture, William Morris wallpaper and oak panelling to black and white striped wallpaper, modern bathrooms and zebra print sofas. I could not decide whether I liked it or not, but it did bring back memories of my wedding, despite how different it looked. My wedding night was so special in a four poster bed in that expensive hotel with lovely countryside views, despite the fact that my new husband fell into a drunken stupor as soon as his head hit the pillow! It was a simple affair with just 9 guests and nothing over the top no designer wedding dresses or expensive cars. It was well within my budget which meant that it was no stressful. There were fewer decisions to make, no worries over father daughter songs, who to sit where and who to have as bridesmaids. I would recommend a simple wedding to everyone, as it is cheaper, less stressful and still very memorable. I felt that exchanging vows just in front of my closest family made it all the more special.
